The Centre for Environmental Research and Training (CERT) will establish a facility in Madang Province to generate environmental expertise and build capacity in research, conservation, agriculture, education and governance. CERT aims to empower Papua New Guineans, especially women and marginalised communities, through education programs and vocational training. The project focuses on strengthening environmental knowledge, promoting sustainable practices, and aligning development with local and national priorities for a more resilient and equitable society.
